Tilak has a practicing experience of more than 18 years in the field of commercial laws. As a team member, Tilak had advised clients on transactional matters, labor, insurance and tax and legal due diligence exercises from the early years of association with Pioneer Law Associates. He has also worked on a number of legal and regulatory reform projects. Tilak also represents clients before various courts and tribunals on various commercial disputes and intellectual property matters.

Shiva is one of the partners of Pioneer Law Associates and has been with Pioneer since 1992. His main areas of professional activities are banking, contract and corporate matters of national and multi national companies, public & private interest litigation, mediation, and arbitration. Shiva had advised clients on various commercial issues. He has also worked on a number of legal and regulatory reform projects.
Ratna has been practicing law since 1999. At PLA, Ratna is active in both litigation and corporate matters. Ratna also conducts real estate due diligence and title search and assists the clients in applying and obtaining governmental authorizations required for establishment and operation of corporate entities, project and acquisition or securitization of the immovable assets.
Ratna is also a certified notary public, liquidator and mediator.
Ratna has also good command in writing and editing the legal journals and materials. He is the editor of KANOON a bi-monthly Legal Magazine, published by Lawyers Club, Kathmandu. As a member of the editorial board, he had also contributed in editing Landmark Decisions of the Supreme Court of Nepal relating to “Commercial Law” and “Public Litigation“, publications by Supreme Court of Nepal.
Pooja has more than ten years of experience in the field of Human Resource Management and Administration. Following the completion of her MBA from Ace Institute of Management, she commenced a successful and richly diverse career in HR and operations. She has held several HR managerial roles in a variety of organisations across a multitude of sectors including higher education, ISP, and international service sectors with responsibilities extending across human resource, operations and finance.
Pooja has been associated with Pioneer Law Associates since December 2019 and is responsible for handling organization’s business activities and develop and implement effective business strategies.
Lajula Maharjan has been practicing commercial law since 2014. She has been associated with Pioneer Law since 2018. She has been involved in corporate team of the firm. She regularly advises client on divers transaction matter including foreign investment, project finance and corporate compliances. She has been involved in conducting legal due diligence, transaction in relation to acquisitions, foreign loan investment, share transfers, technology transfers, preparing legal opinions, drafting and reviewing corporate documents including various form of agreements and conducting research on issues relating to foreign investment, corporate compliances and other diverse commercial matters. She is involved with commercial litigation on behalf of various local and international clients.
Pratikshya has been practicing corporate law since 2016. She is a member of equity and knowledge management teams of the firm.
She has also previously worked in a law firm and a development financial institution in the UK.
Nida is a Consultant with Pioneer Law Associates. Before this she was a practicing Advocate at the Supreme Court of India from 2015-2021, appearing before the Court as an arguing, briefing and drafting counsel. Prior to her time at the Supreme Court of India, she briefly worked with AZB & Partners, India in their mergers & acquisitions and private equity group.
Kripa has been associated with Pioneer Law Associates since 2017. She is a part of Intellectual Property team of the firm. Her practice mainly entails Intellectual Property related functions including but not limited to Intellectual Property maintenance, preparation of Advisory Opinions, Legal Drafting, Drafting Contracts, Cease and Desist Notices, Take-Down Notices, Reviewing Franchise and Licensing Agreements, Translation etc. In addition to that, she also assists in some corporate and (I)NGOs related matters in the firm. Besides this, she is also involved in research and content development in intellectual property related issues.
